If you're looking for what to do for a getaway itinerary with food and culture in the Midwest, or are focused on insider weekend tips for a trip to Fargo, here is your Friday-to-Sunday plan.

Day 1

Evening

Prairie Kitchen

Start the weekend off with one of the best Midwest-inspired restaurants in Fargo. Catch up with your pals at Prairie Kitchen, located on the main floor of 701 Eateries, over a lefse platter. We recommend almost anything on their menu, especially their hotdish of the moment. Also, be sure to get a cocktail from their extensive drink menu.

Browse from over 200 local makers' creations at Unglued before heading upstairs to the Craftatorium for one of their workshops. This is a great spot for doing some shopping, especially for local artisan makers at Brewhalla.

Shop vintage spots downtown

Next, head downtown for the best vintage shopping in Fargo-Moorhead. Reed & Taylor Antiques showcases collectibles and antiques, while Now and Then Shoppe is your place for repurposed finds. We recommend CUL DE SACRevolver, and Violet Vintage for vintage clothing, plus Orange Records to enhance your vinyl record collection. Overall, this is the perfect addition to your Fargo weekend itinerary with vintage shopping stops.

Downtown Fargo

Afternoon/Evening

Rustica Eatery & Tavern

After your relaxing afternoon, treat yourself to some munchies. Rustica is a great place to unwind after the big day and have some good food and maybe a glass of wine. This casual fine-dining restaurant in Downtown Moorhead has a cozy vibe with Spanish and Italian influences swirling with delicious American flavors.
