Five reasons you should go to Pride in Fargo

As one of the nation’s largest rural pride celebrations, FM PRIDE is an awesome place for any and all to celebrate the local LGBTQ community. Below are some reasons you should attend some (or all) of the events going on during FM Pride.

1. You can bring your whole family

Sometimes it’s hard to find events you can bring your kiddos to, but not during FM Pride week! There’s going to be at least one event each day throughout the week that are completely family friendly. From bowling to youth pride events, we promise your young ones will not be bored during these summer days!

Pride events for kids: All ages bowling, LGBTQ trivia & karaoke, Youth Pride, Pride 5k, Pride in the park, Interfaith service, and the Pride parade.

2. It’s the most colorful week of year

Throw on a rainbow jumpsuit and some glitter and you’ll fit right in at F-M Pride. These events are all about the color so get wacky with your outfits and come on out!

3. There will be dogs

Seriously, who doesn’t like dogs? Celebrate Pride with the furriest in the family by entering them into the Pet Pride contest on Saturday. If you think you can dress your dog to be the best version of you, or that your puppy is the best tail wagger out there, then this is a contest for you!

When: Saturday August 11th, 1pm
Where: Island Park (during Pride in the Park)

4. One of the best parades

F-M Pride throws a pretty rocking (and colorful) parade. Grab the whole family and come on out to watch how Fargo-Moorhead can embrace diversity and support the LGBTQ community. The parade route follows Broadway in Downtown Fargo and leads into the Pride Rally. Get ready to catch some candy and get covered in glitter during the Pride Parade.

5. Alllll the Instagrammable spots

With all of the fun colors and fun outfits that are completely acceptable during FM Pride, there are so many spots you’ll be able to get some great photos.
