A Guide to Pride in Fargo

We love to celebrate diversity and inclusion, and one of our favorite events that does just that is FM Pride Week. 

If you’re looking for information on the most colorful events in Fargo, you’ve come to the right place! You won’t want to miss a minute of Fargo Pride 2019 so use this guide to find out where and when everything is happening


Events

Ladyboss Pride Panel & Mixer

Meet and hear from other LGBTQ+ Ladybosses in our community to hear about what they’re doing in the community. Allies are welcome so feel free to bring all of your friends to this free event at the Prairie Den

Pride Vinyl Night 

Front Street Taproom is putting on a special PRIDE edition of their weekly Vinyl Night. Come out and hear some good tunes while $1 of each pint is donated back to Fargo-Moorhead Pride.

August 7 | 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.

All Ages Bowling

Bring out the whole family for bowling, socializing, and fun! This is a free event so bring your friends for this all-inclusive event.

August 8 | 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

LGBT Trivia & Karaoke

There’s a lot going on at Rhombus Guys on Thursday night, head down there for some great pizza and fun LGBT entertainment. Start off with LGBT trivia and a rooftop movie and then end the night by belting some karaoke with friends.

This is a free event and all-ages until 9 p.m.

Youth Pride – All Ages Drag Show

A fun night of entertainment as the divas take the stage! This is an all-ages drag show, so bring out the whole family and enjoy the show.

There is a $10 cover at the door.

August 9 | 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.
The Stage at Island Park | 333 4th St S, Fargo 

Pride Dance Party

The Pride Dance Party is one of the highest energy parties you can go to in the year! Music starts at 9 p.m. with local DJ’s spinning tunes all night. 

$10 cover at the door, this is a 21+ event. 

August 9 | 9 p.m. – 2 a.m.
Avalon Events Center | 2525 9th Ave S, Fargo

Pride 5K

Another family friendly event! The Pride 5k is an all-ages run down one of the area’s most gorgeous trails which is meant to promote positive activities and healthy living. 

The race starts at Woodlawn Park in Moorhead, follows along the Red River and finishes back at Woodlawn Park. 

Tickets are $20 (early bird) and $30 from August 1 – Race Day. Packet Pickup at the Pride Collective and Community Center in Fargo.

Pride in the Park

Come out to Pride in the Park to check out some amazing vendors, merchants, business services, and more! There will be fun for the whole family like carnival games & prizes, face painting, and treats. There will be live music throughout the day from local artists as well. 

The Pride in the Park event is a one-stop-shop for all things Pride swag so don’t forget to stop by and check it out!

Pet Pride Contest

Definitely the cutest part of this years’ Pride, the Pet Pride Contest takes place during the Pride in the Park and you can enter your pup into a maximum of two of these categories:

Best Pet/Owner Look-a-Like
Best Tail Wagger
Best Puppy
Best Denior Dog
Best Costume

Even if your dogs aren’t participating, you won’t want to miss these cuties compete for the top prize.

Pride Block Party

The Pride Block Party is by far the largest event during Pride, you will not want to miss it!

Kick off the night with a “Parking Lot Party” with music, food trucks, and a full service bar and then get ready for an outdoor Drag Show starting at 8:30 p.m. Afterwards, DJ Mental Floss will be cranking up the tunes inside Fargo Brewing Company. 

$15 cover at the door, this is a 21+ event.

Pride Parade & Rally

Last but not least, the Pride Parade wraps up the weekend. Each and every year, Fargo-Moorhead businesses join in the parade to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community. 

The parade will start at the Moorhead Center Mall and travel down Center Ave/NP Ave to 4th St N and then North to the Civic Center.
