Sarah Anstett, Development and Marketing Manager for the Plains Art Museum, filled us in on everything we need to know this summer.

This summer, see what’s new at Plains Art Museum! Guests from all over the region and country are invited to take in original, contemporary artwork in any of our eight galleries and art spaces – all free of charge and open to the public thanks to our PlainsArt4All initiative that keeps your Art Museum general admission free.

About the Museum:

The Museum is housed in the re-purposed and renovated International Harvester building – a former tractor manufacturer. As you walk through the spaces and galleries the original wood flooring and wood beam only add to the ascetic and ambiance – a perfect juxtaposition to the featured artworks often found in its galleries.

Their mission

Plains Art Museum’s mission is to connect art, artists, and audiences to foster creative, resilient, and welcoming communities. This ties directly into our PlainsArt4All initiative that keeps the Museum's general admission free, enabling arts access for all. Visitors from anywhere in the country are invited to take in the beautiful art in North Dakota’s only fully accredited art Museum.

Membership

Plains Art Museum also boasts one of the most affordable membership programs in the Museum industry, with yearly and monthly options available for any budget. Members receive discounts at the Museum Store and events throughout the year. The Museum also hosts special events for members only. And if you live outside the region, you can still benefit! Plains Art Museum is a member of NARM (the North American Reciprocal Museum Association) where you can enjoy free admission to hundreds of Museums across the country.
