You're in Fargo and looking for ways to build up your team dynamics, work on communication, and have fun doing it. These ten team-building activities are just the ticket.
1. Cooking Classes
Bring your small group or team into a kitchen with a local chef as you prepare something delicious and connect with your team during a cooking class; Square One Kitchens has four team-building options.
Another newer option is at the 1889, located within the oldest brick building in Fargo; the 1889 does cooking classes, crafting, and more in a historic space. Get in touch with them to plan a team building or private event.
2. Hope Blooms
Like any community, Fargo has plenty of volunteering opportunities that work perfectly for team-building. Hope Blooms is a fantastic choice with a consistent option for large and small groups alike. Hope Blooms is a non-profit that repurposes flowers for facilities such as hospitals, rehab centers, and nursing homes. The process is fun and rewarding, where you can arrange or deliver floral bouquets to help them spread joy to community members in need.
Some other volunteer opportunities include helping at United Way, working at the Great Plains Food Bank, or helping out at the Red River Zoo; your team can do good and find a cause that fits your mission.
3. Embark on an Activity Passport
We've created various passport programs for many different interests. Have your team break into small groups and tackle one of the passports, like the Adventure Passport, which features must-see attractions in the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo area. This is a great one for people who are new to the area or those who are visiting. Plus, you get a free t-shirt prize once you get to 6 locations.
The Scandinavian Heritage Passport is another fun option that brings you to the businesses, attractions, and locations that showcase the area's largest heritage group.
You can also check out Let's Roam Scavenger Hunts for an app-based hunt through the city or opt for a drink-based passport like the Crafts & Drafts Passport to local craft beer spaces, Red River Winery Trek to area wineries, or the Caffeinated Crawl to discover local coffee and tea shops.
4. Learn to Curl
Rent out the Fargo-Moorhead Curling Club for groups of up to 50 people and take a two-hour lesson on ice with instructors and an hour social. All necessary curling equipment is included, and bartenders can serve beverages during the day.

7. Escape Room
These ever-popular puzzle rooms are a great way to get your team to work together and problem-solve. Fargo has three different companies from which you can choose rooms.
Fargo Escape Room has rooms for as many as 10 participants at a time. The hardest room right now is the "Mystery Meat" room which puts you in the role of a health inspector at Joey's House of Hotdish.
At Puzzled Escape Rooms, you can reserve all four rooms at once (which hold 40 people total) for an all-out competition of which team can escape first. Themes include a ghost story about Scrooge, Vegas vows, a time machine, a psychic, and more!
8. Get crafty
Unglued is in their new space within Brewhalla, complete with a Craftatorium that can be rented out for groups of up to 24 people. This is perfect for the creatives on your team to make something fun from a local instructor.

9. Attend a sports game
Looking for less hands-on entertainment? Just hanging out and socializing at one of Fargo's top sporting events can be the perfect day out for a team.
In the summer, head to a RedHawks baseball game and rent one of their party decks (max capacity of 300 people), which includes all-you-can-eat hot dogs, pulled pork, bratwurst, potato salad, chips, and water. Plus 12oz draft beers are only $2 for members of your group.
In the winter, a Fargo Force hockey game is just the ticket (pun intended) for a great group outing. Check out their group packages, including rentals of the Bud Light Lounge.
10. Rock Climbing, Weightlifting, or Ninja Gym
If you have a more adventurous group, try a rock climbing or ninja gym. Fargo Climbing is an indoor rock climbing gym with a party room for up to 12 people and the ability to add more climbers if needed. Another great activity for a group is to embrace your inner ninja warrior at one of our Ninja Gyms. Conquer Ninja Warrior has space for groups of up to 30 people to enjoy the gym and use the party rooms. You can also rent space at fitness centers or CrossFit gyms to have a group get a team workout in.
