Sometimes it can be daunting to find gluten-free restaurants nearby when you're traveling, we wanted to make it easier by putting together a list of many of the restaurants in Fargo that offer gluten-free options.

Brew Bird

Brew Bird has a flour-free kitchen! Pair amazing fried chicken and sides with any of their ciders, or hard seltzers and you're sure to leave satisfied.

We recommend: The Fargo Hot sandwich, which features local hot sauce (Off The Deck), white BBQ sauce, and house-made pickles. It's a bit spicy, but you can handle it.

CRAVE

CRAVE has a huge menu with sections for many types of dietary restrictions. From plant-based to gluten-free, their menu will cover them all.

We recommend: The Margharita Flatbread (obviously made with gluten-free bread) and topped with oven-roasted tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil.

Doolittle's Woodfire Grill

Doolittle's specializes in rotisserie-grilled meats with their lengthy wine lists. Their menu offers plenty of gluten-free options that won't leave you feeling as if you missed out on anything they're known for.

We recommend: Spit-roasted chicken with green beans and roasted baby red potatoes.

Five Guys

This classic burger chain has great fries (made from the sacks of potatoes you walk by when you order) and even greater burgers.

We recommend: The classic cheeseburger in a lettuce wrap as the bun with the cajun style fries.

Luna Fargo

From shareable cheese plates to a bunch of yummy salads, Luna does a great job catering to all of our GF friends. Their menu changes every day, so we recommend checking their website for their lunch or dinner options.

We recommend: A cheese plate! You can never go wrong with a cheese plate.

Mehl's Gluten-Free Bakery

Probably the most obvious spot, Mehl's is completely gluten-free and whips up some great bakery items, pizzas, and meals to go. They also have breakfasts and lunches that you can order and eat in their store.

We recommend: Tater tot hotdish made with GF cream of mushroom! Or, if you're there for lunch, try the lunch combo which comes with a cold sandwich and fries, tots, or a cup of soup.

Porter Creek Hardwood Grill

Ask for the gluten-free menu at Porter Creek for a variety of options like rotisserie chicken, steak, and fish options, and a few salads. If the weather is nice, opt for the patio for a relaxing afternoon or evening.

We recommend: Mahi Mahi with quinoa in an avocado-herb cream sauce.

Rustica

Whether you're at Rustica for a happy hour or a fancy dinner, the menu can be accommodating for those with gluten sensitivity. This cozy pub in Downtown Moorhead has a rustic ambiance with a large, diverse menu.

We recommend: Start with the bacon-wrapped chorizo-stuffed dates before your entree of cornmeal-dusted walleye with lump crab meat.

The Boiler Room

The Boiler Room has been working toward getting more and more vegetarian and GF options. Now, many of their soups, salads, and a few entrees are marked as gluten-free on their menu.

We recommend: Their Lemon Herb Salmon is to die for, and the garlic whipped potatoes are a perfect pairing.

Asian

Drunken Noodle & Slurp

An Asian specialty spot with all kinds of great noodle dishes like Pad Thai, rice bowls, and yakisoba. Plus, they have gluten-free soy sauce so many of the dishes made with rice noodles can be whipped up GF.

We recommend: The Pad Thai, you can't go wrong.

Himalayan Yak

Another great Indian/Nepalese stop in the area, you'll find generous servings of curries (like a classic Tikka Masala) and rice specialties.

We recommend: The yellow curry dish with chicken.

One of the most authentic Indian spots, India Palace focuses on the Punjabi region of India. Each dish is made individually, so you can add a wide range of heat to your meal.

We recommend: The Vegetable Pakora is made in their house chickpea batter and is a great start to your meal.

Leela Thai

Leela Thai is a go-to spot for Thai delicacies. Plus, they have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options alongside their GF dishes.

We recommend: We also think you should try the Pad Thai here, or you could try their red curry... our mouths are watering just thinking about it.

Thai Orchid

Voted the best ethnic food in Fargo in 2021, Thai Orchid has a big menu where each item that is gluten-free is denoted with a GF... there's a lot of them!

We recommend: The Panang Curry made with coconut milk, peanuts, bell peppers, and fresh basil leaves.

Poke is a very customizable option that can be adjusted to fit into many diets, including gluten-sensitive! Pick your favorite toppings to go on the bowl of rice.

Wurst Bier Hall

Wurst also has a gluten-free menu upon request with a bunch of different sausages that can be served without the buns. Pair them with any of their ciders, meads, and hard seltzers!

We recommend: The Hawaiian Wurst made right here in Fargo is delightful, add a side of sweet potato fries with some marshmallow fluff for a sweet but salty surprise.

Olive Garden

Everyone has their favorite at Olive Garden. Now, get your favorites in a gluten-sensitive option as well. From grilled chicken parmigiana to Zuppa Toscana, there's plenty of items to choose from.

We recommend: Their famous house salad without croutons and their herb grilled salmon.

Blaze Pizza

You can take any pizza from Blaze's menu, or make your own with a gluten-free crust. They also have yummy salads you can pair with whatever you choose.

We recommend: The White Top pizza with a caesar salad.

MacKenzie River Pizza

Although Mackenzie River specializes in so much more than pizza, their 10" gluten-free crust should be your next GF pizza go-to.

We recommend: The MacKenzie River Pizza (duh) - olive oil and veggies adorn this pie along with a dusting of feta. Plus it's vegetarian!

Rhombus Guys

A local favorite with some really great pizzas, Rhombus Guys has one of the best GF crusts along with a variety of gourmet toppings to boot.

We recommend: The Thai Chicken Pizza – Thai peanut sauce, chicken, onion, red peppers, cilantro, and mozzarella.

Spicy Pie

Spicy Pie has been a fan-favorite in Fargo-Moorhead for a while, including gluten-free pizza lovers. Their 9-inch gluten-friendly crust pizza can be made with any toppings you like, even their Pizza of the Month.

We recommend: Their taco or spicy Hawaiian.
