We like to ask our local heroes where they like to eat in town. Andrea from Proof Distillers has some great recommendations. Check 'em out:
1. Luna
Luna has great coffee as well as a huge cheese and meat selection to choose from. This is a great place to share a bottle of wine and some delectable charcuterie snacks or a full-scale, fancier, meal like duck confit or beef cheeks.
She recommends: Cheese plate or the house pickle plate
1545 University Dr. S, Fargo | (701) 293-8818
2. Thunder Coffee
One of the newer coffee shops on the block, Thunder Coffee is located in Downtown West Fargo and seeks to "bring people together over coffee." They also roast their beans fresh each Monday and Thursday to bring you a mean cup of Joe.
She recommends: the Matcha Latte and a thunder bar (a cookie-like bar with oatmeal, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and m&ms)
300 Sheyenne St #190, West Fargo | (701) 404-7743
3. Harold's on Main
This Moorhead bar is a cozy spot to hang. The cocktail menu ranges from martinis to Hamm's on tap.
She recommends: Dwight Lightning cocktail and pickled eggs
1330 Main Ave, Moorhead | (218) 233-3477
4. Mick's Office
Another Moorhead Staple, Mick's Office serves up amazing burgers (Just $2 on Wednesdays) as well as classic bar drinks.
She recommends: Frickles and any of their burgers
5. Silver Linings Creamery
One of three ice cream shops in Downtown Fargo, Silver Linings has old fashioned hard ice cream with tons of flavors.
She recommends: the English brown bread ice cream
