Zakho & Moorhead - Sister Cities
The city of Moorhead and Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) have formally partnered with the city of Zakho in southern Kurdistan—signing a Friendship Proclamation on July 2, 2025—to promote cultural exchanges, educational opportunities (including student and faculty programs), joint research, and economic development initiatives.
