Visit Fargo-Moorhead Awards over $1 million in Capital Grants
Fargo, North Dakota: The Board of Directors of Visit Fargo-Moorhead has awarded Capital Grants from its Destination Development Fund for various sports and arts facilities in the first half of 2025.
Five major community projects in Fargo-Moorhead received significant funding to support arts, healing, and recreation initiatives. The Garden of Healings received $16,080 for its Healing Hotline initiative supporting those experiencing grief. A $510,000 grant was awarded to the Plains Art Museum to advance its 11,000-square-foot Connections Capital Project into the schematic design phase. Fargo Area Sports received $185,750 to install durable turf at the Tharaldson Little League Complex. Finally, the Fargo Theatre secured $500,000 for critical technology upgrades, facility improvements, and accessibility enhancements.

- $16,080 for Garden of Healing on 2/5/25
- $510,000 for Plains Art Museum on 2/26/25
- $500,000 for Fargo Theatre on 4/23/25
- $185,750 for Fargo Area Sports on 5/28/25
Visit Fargo-Moorhead is funded by a 3% local lodging tax collected on hotel rooms in the metro and Airbnb in Fargo. Since 2012, the Visit Fargo-Moorhead board has awarded over $6 million in grants to tourism-related projects across three cities.
