Fargo is about 1,400 miles from the nearest ocean and another thousand miles from where Deep Blue Seafood gets the cod for its fish and chips. It’s an impressive feat for a landlocked place like Fargo to have a restaurant completely dedicated to seafood, but Deep Blue does it well as the first locally-owned and independently-sourced fish market and casual dining restaurant. Possibly the only place in town that can regularly serve oysters on the half shell, for seafood-lovers, this is the place to go. You can try something a little wild – like alligator bites or frogs legs – or opt for a standard salmon sandwich or crab bisque. Whatever you choose, get some tartar and Louisiana remoulade to dip it in.
