19,887 travelers visit FM Visitor Center

I was so pleased to see the hard numbers this morning as I sat down at my desk.  19,887 travelers stopped in at the Fargo-Moorhead Visitor Center in the last 12 months.  Not too shabby for a little visitor center in Fargo, ND right smack dab in the middle of major road construction!

We actually were a little worried about seeing the numbers this year.  In reality, we ended just a little bit down when compared to last year. Nothing too drastic at all.  I have to admit that it is a pleasant surprise!

Last year the FM CVB’s “Grain Elevator” saw just over 21,000 visitors. Considering all the orange cones and detours we feel great about our 2010 numbers.  The travel industry is good for Fargo-Moorhead!  People traveling to the area are interested in what we do and what we have to offer.  It is clear to me that we are getting more and more media attention for our hospitality, cleanliness, economy and so many other things.     We have a great destination for travelers!  So spread the word!

Oh, and if you haven’t stopped by the Visitor Center in a while things have changed A LOT. Stop by, grab a cup of coffee and chat with our Travel Ambassadors. We’ve got a great crew waiting to greet you.  Now that the peak travel season seems to be winding down a bit help us get a jump on our 2011 numbers!

When you do visit be sure to “Check in” on FourSquare, sign our guesbook, peruse the gift shop and best of all find new things to do! We’re here to show you the way to a great time in Fargo-Moorhead!  Stop by and see us!
