I can hardly contain my enthusiasm this week. Rumor has it that spring may have come a bit early this year. Today in Fargo-Moorhead we are reaching for 70 degrees. The blue skies are stretching as far as you can see and the communities are buzzing with bicyclists, joggers, dog walkers and any other form of outdoor activity you can think of. I guess that means that peak tourism has arrived. I had a chance to head to the historic downtown area and it was buzzing!
If you happen to find yourself downtown here are a couple of great resources to get you to where you want to be. One is the FM Downtown Community Partnership where you can find out about events, festivals and other things happening in the area. Now that spring has officially sprung there will be a lot going on. You can also peruse the major calendar of events compiled by the FM CVB. Another great resource is the Fargo Downtowner. They have compiled a list of shops, galleries, dining areas and other points of interest into a handy little guide. Just be sure to get out of the car while you are downtown. The only way to see it all is to get outside and take a stroll. There is some great architecture downtown and a great walking tour provided by the City of Fargo. Or if you prefer, hop on your bike because the Fargo-Moorhead downtown area is bicycle-friendly too.
