The Cities of Fargo, West Fargo and Moorhead, Cass County and Health Care Partners Hosting Live COVID-19 Briefing
FARGO, N.D. (March 17, 2020) – Metro leaders and healthcare partners will host a unified public briefing broadcast and livestreamed from the Fargo City Commission Chambers at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18. Fargo Mayor Dr. Tim Mahoney, West Fargo Commission President Bernie Dardis, Moorhead Mayor Johnathan Judd and Cass County Commission Chair Chad Peterson will provide updates on plans to protect community residents and assist healthcare providers.
Public health experts from Fargo Cass Public Health and the North Dakota Department of Health will provide updates on the status of the disease, as well as prevention tactics. Health care system leaders from Sanford Health and Essentia Health will provide information on their preparations and processes for keeping patients and visitors safe, testing and treating patients with COVID-19 diagnoses.
In an effort to exercise Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines pertaining to social distancing, members of the public and media will not be admitted into the Commission Chambers facility during the briefing. Everyone is encouraged to watch the briefing via a livestream hosted on the City of Fargo’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, on the web at www.TVFargo.com or via the Fargo Access Channel 56.
A media question and answer session for remote questioning will be held at 10:45 a.m. following the public briefing via video chat.
