Frostival is a two-day celebration of winter fun including more than 50 family-friendly events across Fargo. This year’s Frostival takes place from Friday, January 25 through Saturday, January 26. Fargo and its sister cities Moorhead and West Fargo will be hopping with winter-themed fun that will have you believing #ColdIsCool.
Most major events are happening at four locations across the tri-city area.

Breweries across Fargo-Moorhead | January 19-26
Pick up your passport at any of the breweries or at the Fargo-Moorhead Visitors Center, and then collect stamps from all of the listed local breweries. Turn in your passport at the Visitors Center throughout the week or at the Frostival’s Base Camp to win some cool prizes.

If you’ve got a gnarly beard and like to show it off, this contest was basically made for you. Put on by the Beard Association of North Dakota, there are many divisions available to enter your face. Check the beard invasion webpage for some inspiration.
Norseman & Norsewoman Challenge
Frozen Fortress | 202 1st Ave N, Moorhead
Show off your inner Viking with this three-hour test of endurance, agility, strength, stamina, balance, and perseverance. Events include: obstacle course, uphill snowshoe run, and log flipping.
Base Camp | 409 Broadway N, Fargo
Race down Broadway in just your knickers! This event used to be part of Frosty Cup, but will be on its own this year. Participate for only $10 and receive a pair of Frostival undies in return for your bravery.
What are the top family-friendly Frostival events?
This Frostival hub will be a great spot to warm up with your family on Saturday. With a whole bunch of events for the kiddos like inflatable games, open skating, and more!
All day events will keep everyone in the family entertained with a River Keepers Winter Scavenger Hunt, yard games, marshmallow roasting & hot chocolate, and more.
Cardboard Sled Racing (*NEW LOCATION THIS YEAR*)

One of Frostival’s most popular events, gather your supplies and test your hand at creating a cardboard sled and then race down with the whole fam! There are many different ways to win, from crossing the finish line first, to designing the most fun sled!
Opening Kick-Off | Base Camp | 409 Broadway N, Fargo
Sample many local businesses hot cocoa & vote on which is Fargo-Moorhead’s best.

Roast s’mores over an open fire and then enjoy live music from Boomtown in a heated outdoor tent, have a beer, sample a variety of hot cocoa, and more.
Saturday, January 26th | 409 Broadway N, Fargo
Start the day out with a workout of the day with Crossfit Ice House and then move on to the Frosty Cup drinking games. Shortly after, the Undie Run will make you brave the cold. For those of you that enjoy a good beard, check out the Beard Invasion contest before Two-Way Crossing takes the stage in the heated tent.
Is there transportation?
Valley Bus will be running a FREE shuttle on Saturday starting at 11am and finishing at Base Camp at 4:45pm. Hop on the shuttle at any of the main hubs to catch the shuttle!
