Yoga for Emotional Ease & Trauma

Join us for one or both workshops on emotional ease and trauma. Session 1 is on the Physiology of Emotions, Stress, and Trauma. It will challenge what you believe about feeling, and guide you through reflection on emotions’ place in your life and yoga practice. Session 2 is about Trauma-Informed Yoga and Meditation. In this session, students will learn how to create trauma-informed spaces and classes.
Times:
11:00am to 1:00pm- Emotional Ease & Trauma – session 1
2:00pm to 4:00pm- Emotional Ease & Trauma – session 2
Instructor: Jeanne Farnsworth, RYT200 (Jeanne is also a licensed clinical therapist)
Cost: $50 per session or $90 for both

Emotional Ease & Trauma – session 1: The Physiology of Emotions, Stress, and Trauma
Emotions and stress can feel like mysterious forces but are physiological and able to be understood. This class will challenge what you believe about feeling, and guide you through reflection on emotions’ place in your life and yoga practice. Presented through the lens of polyvagal theory and yoga concepts.
Emotional Ease & Trauma – session 2: Trauma-Informed Yoga and Meditation
Yoga has been a source of healing for millions of people and has a powerful potential to help people with emotional wellness, mental health, and nervous system regulation. In this session, students will learn how to create trauma-informed spaces and classes.
