ValleyCon 47 and the Fargo Fantastic Film Festival 20

ValleyCon 47 is the largest regional celebration of popular culture over a three-day weekend. ValleyCon 47 features the best in film and television, books, game tournaments, comics, books, toys, art, and fun for all ages! ValleyCon is a NON-PROFIT event with our primary beneficiary, the Children’s Hospital at Sanford, and their EXTRALIFE campaign. Still, we have recently added several other charities to our list, including Honor Flight and more. Our celebrated LIVE auction occurs during the Adults Cosplay costume contest Saturday night and features exceptional items donated from businesses and individuals.

Highlights include our guests: BILL MOSELEY, ALAINA HUFFMAN, internationally renowned drive-in critic JOE BOB BRIGGS and his assistant DARCY the Mail Girl, along with paranormal author and researchers ADRIAN LEE and HEATHER MORRIS and returning guest JUSTIN CANCILLIERE! Nationally known Professional Cosplayer and Spokesmodel IVY COSPLAY is also attending. Many local and regional authors will be on hand with workshops and their works, including the BISMAN AUTHOR GROUP and author TINA HOLLAND. This year we honor a long-time friend and local artist, BRAD THINGVOLD, as our Artist Guest of Honor! Author MIKE QUAST will also present a panel and books on Cryptids in Minnesota, specifically BIGFOOT, with photos and casts of footprints and more!

The Fargo Fantastic Film Festival is in year 20 and is now combined with ValleyCon! The FFFF will open at the Fargo Theatre THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, and feature JOE BOB BRIGG’S critically acclaimed show: “HOW REDNECKS SAVED HOLLYWOOD”! The FFFF then moves to the Holiday Inn in conjunction with ValleyCon – opening at 3:30 pm FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 30th. Both will take place with one admission for the entire weekend at the Holiday Inn! The KIDS FFFF takes place on Saturday and Sunday mornings to early afternoon with films from all over the world for kids and some even BY kids! AWARDS will be announced at the BANQUET Saturday night!

ValleyCon 47 features programming geared towards fun but with a bonus of educational benefit. We feature professional writers, actors, and artists actively working in and are at the top of their fields in panels and workshops, all for a low-cost pass! Most of our guests participate in workshops around the country that cost those attendees hundreds of dollars each but for less than two movie tickets (matinees, even!) ValleyCon attendees can meet, talk and work with these highly regarded professionals.
