Special Olympics North Dakota – State Summer Games – POSTPONED
For the 23rd consecutive year, the city of Fargo will serve as host of the Special Olympics North Dakota (SOND) State Summer Games. The event runs from June 4-6, 2020 and this year’s theme is “POWERED BY SPORT.” Participants will be competing in the sports of Athletics (Track & Field), Swimming, Flag Football, Bocce, Powerlifting, and Volleyball. Additional Special Events for participants include an Opening Ceremony & Parade of Athletes, Community Celebration, Healthy Athlete screenings, Olympic Town activities, and athlete Victory Dance.
Schedule of Events
Thursday, June 4 – downtown Fargo
Activities starting around 6:30 pm*
– Parade of Athletes down Broadway and 2nd Street
– Opening Ceremony at the Fargo Civic Center following the parade
Friday, June 5 – Davies High School
10:00 am – 3:00 pm: Volleyball, swimming, bocce, powerlifting
Saturday, June 6 – Fargo South High School
9:00 am – 2:00 pm: Track & Field
