Six-Week Hula Hooping Series!

Hello FM area! Join Brittany Colbert, creator and owner of Honeysuckle Hooping, for a six-week, ‘Hula Hooping For Your Mental Health’ hula hooping series! She attended a premier, national hoop camp led by top US hula hoopers, she’s a certified Hoop Love Coach, and she continues her professional development through online classes of all things hula hooping! Brittany uses her years of hula hooping experience to educate the community about the mental health benefits of hooping. She also loves to inform people about correct hoop sizing! Every body is different, and a hula hoop should reflect that!
As the theme suggests, hooping can improve mental health through the release of endorphins, which can reduce stress and improve mood! Not only is hooping good for you, it’s also super fun, AND is naturally socially distant! Feeling stuck or maybe just looking for FUN?! Ditch the winter blahs with this unique, creative outlet! Hooping is a great alternative workout that can be done alone or with friends!
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. COME AS YOU ARE. EVERY SHAPE, SIZE AND AGE WELCOME. EVERYONE’S BODY SHAPE IS DIFFERENT, AND DIFFERENT SIZED HOOPS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR EVERY BODY SHAPE.
Week 1 (Jan 9th): LET’S BODYROCK! Get a maximum core and cardio workout! We’ll learn how to hula hoop on all areas of our body while manipulating the core for a full abdominal, back and side, workout!
Week 2 (Jan 16th): STIMULATE MOVEMENT and CREATIVITY: Learn ways to express yourself inside the hoop. Learn how to make one simple movement beautiful, unique and different through an entire song!
Week 3 (Jan 23rd): CONFIDENCE IN and OUT OF THE HOOP: Boost your confidence and resiliency while working on a move. We’ll work on exciting hula hoop moves/tricks that require courage and bravery! Find out how succeeding at a hula hoop move can translate into your everyday life!
Week 4 (Jan 30th): BALANCE! Target your core and challenge yourself with these exciting hula hoop balancing moves! Learn to foot hoop, which is a total core cruncher, and learn some other fun balancing moves. Bring balance into your body and see how it can bring balance into your everyday life!
Week 5 (Feb 6th): FLOW! Let’s create! Learn how to free your mind and body with the hula hoop! Learn to put your personality into your hoopdance. We’ll incorporate elements such as music, emotion and environment to create a beautiful self-expression.
Week 6 (Feb 13th): GLOW HOOP! Let’s brighten up our lives with this FUN class! Learn a choregraphed dance in the blacklight! Hula hoops provided will have UV tape on them!
Price:
$20 Drop-in, PLUS receive 10% off the Honeysuckle Hooping store!
$100 for all six ($20 savings!), PLUS receive 15% off the Honeysuckle Hooping store!

Fitted clothing and athletic footwear
HULA HOOPS PROVIDED. YOU MAY ALSO BRING YOUR OWN.
Mask Rules:
Masks must be worn until you get to your designated hooping spot, which will be more than six feet away from others because hula hooping requires distance! If you feel safer keeping your mask on, you are encouraged to do so! Hula hoops will be sanitized before and after class!
There is only room for 9 since hula hooping requires lots of space!
