Pangea – Cultivate our Cultures
Live Music & Dance | Global Foods
International Market | Arts | Crafts
Games | History | Culture | Community
Join us at the Hjemkomst Center on Saturday, November 16, for the largest free, family-friendly celebration of cultural diversity in the community. In fact, one of the few festivals of its size and kind in the Midwest, this marks its 25th year of highlighting the global roots of the local Fargo-Moorhead community and continues to offer visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the region’s vibrant diversity through food, music, arts, crafts, stories, and children’s activities.
This year’s lineup will include music and dance performances carried from dozens of countries by current Fargo-Moorhead residents. Last year (2018) we hosted Margreat Sam’s Indian Dancers, the St. John the Divine Episcopal Choir, Hung Ngo, Narman Rai’s Bhutanese Dancers, Heather and Thistle, the Buffalo River Singers and Dancers, Ricot Aladin, and more! Food vendors included Everest Tikka House, Adibon, the Concordia French Club, Red River Danes, Paul Aladdin, and more! That means aebleskiver, tamales, crepes, jollof rice, koshari, squash soup, egg rolls, chicken tikka masala, samosas, and (yes…) more!
Booths showcasing local arts, crafts, import vendors, educators, and community programs will be stationed throughout the Hjemkomst Center, along with HCSCC’s current exhibitions: Beyond Bollywood, The World in Fargo-Moorhead, War, Flu, & Fear: World War I and Clay County, and RACE: Are We So Different?
