Live Nativity

Faith United Methodist Church, Fargo will stage a “Live Nativity” outdoors with live actors from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 5th – REGARDLESS OF THE WEATHER. Hot cider and pre-packaged holiday treats will also be offered in the entryway of the church. The event will take place at 909 19th Avenue North in Fargo, ND.

The community is invited to experience Bethlehem, as Fargo Faith UMC congregation members portray all the guests at Christ’s birth 2,000-plus years ago, including Mary and Joseph, shepherds, kings, and an angel on high. Live animals will also be a part of the scene. The still tableau is accompanied by Christmas music.

Fargo Faith hopes that the event draws others to focus on the original reason we celebrate Christmas. The live portrayal of Jesus’ birth draws many together from young to old, and the hope is that the Nativity gives others a chance to reflect and experience the peace of Christ as they pause to observe the scene. By holding the event outdoors, it gives the Nativity a North Dakota twist, because one never knows what part the weather will play!

Parking for the event is located to the north side of the church building, just off 19th Avenue, accessed by either 9-1/2 or 10th Streets.
