WHAT IS THE STUDIO BOX?

The Studio Box is a rent-by-the-hour photography and videography studio / creative space with 24/7 availability. We opened just earlier this year!

Generally, rentable photography studios tend to be a bit expensive to rent out, and a lot of times, having any additional lighting or backdrops can cost even more.

At The Studio Box, everything is included for FREE with each rental — all of the lighting (continuous and flash units), lighting modifiers, backdrops (we have several seamless paper backdrop colors), and all other equipment!

We even have a setup for infant photography, and unique equipment specifically for product photography/videography!

(You can see a list of most of our equipment here, and our Instagram has additional videos!)

“STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY IS INTIMIDATING”

Even if you have all of the equipment available to you, studio photography can still seem really intimidating.

Figuring out how to use the lighting (especially flash units), let alone figuring out the right settings on your camera for studio photography, can still be difficult.

To get rid of the mystery behind studio lighting and to lower the learning curve for studio photography, we at The Studio Box have come up with a unique color coding and numbering system, which we call our Easy123 system.

The Easy123 system color codes all of the lighting and equipment in the studio (yellow for continuous lighting equipment, red for flash lighting equipment), and then gives you a number to identify which lighting setup you’re working with!
