Holiday Lights Parade
The Downtown Community Partnership has announced the cancellation of the Xcel Energy Holiday Lights Parade due to the COVID-19 pandemic. CDC guidelines continue to recommend limited attendance at events and the parade attracts thousands of people every year.
In place of the parade, the DCP is hoping to provide several shopping and entertainment events for the community to enjoy. The alternate shopping and entertainment events will be announced on downtownfargo.com/holidays
The Annual kick-off to the holidays is the Holiday Lights Parade presented by the Downtown Community Partnership and sponsored by Xcel Energy.
This parade attracts thousands of spectators and includes hundreds of participants that decorate their entries with lights. This magical evening will feature spectacular parade floats, marching units, equestrian entries and the mayors, city council and commission members of Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo.
All entries will be part of the Parade Float Competition and have a chance to win incredible prizes and the honor of being the best float of the year!
