The holiday season is underway! Many have likely done some holiday shopping and decorating and listened to a little Christmas music. Here’s a list of several events happening in the Fargo-Moorhead area over the next month to get in the holiday spirit and celebrate the season!
NOON HOLIDAY CONCERTS

Lunchtime just got more joyful. From Noon to 1:00pm on the listed dates, enjoy music from the area’s best musicians and take in the galleries for free with a purchase of lunch from Verdi’s Italian Market Catering. Shop for unique gifts in The Store and have them wrapped for free.

A Norsk Christmas celebration including food & drink (Kransekake, meatballs, lefse, smoked salmon, rømmegrøt, flatbrød, waffles, Gløgg) and live music & dancing! The celebration begins at 5:30pm when the Troll lounge opens for drinks and Gløgg. Tickets are $20 in advance, and $25 at the door. This is a 21+ event.
CONCORDIA CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Concordia College – Memorial Auditorium
The Concordia Christmas Concerts join approximately 350 singers in four choral ensembles and a symphony orchestra to create a beautiful collection of Christmas music. Performances are held Friday at 7:00pm, Saturday at 2:00pm and 7:00pm and Sunday at 2:00pm. Tickets are $19 each, ticket handling fees may apply.
CHRISTMAS ON THE PRAIRIE

A 1900 Christmas celebration featuring horse-drawn wagon rides, carolers, kids activities, cookie baking demonstration on an old fashioned wood fire stove and more! Later that evening, enjoy the Christmas Dinner & Concert featuring music by the Oak Grove Choir and dinner catered by Spitfire. Cost for the dinner and concert is $25 for adults and $10 for children age 12 and under.

Head to the zoo to meet Santa, do Christmas crafts, see the animals receive presents, ride the carousel, enjoy live music and more! Each day has 2 lunch sessions – at 11:00am and 12:30pm. Advance tickets are required – prices are $10 for children and $15 for adults.

Santa Claus lands at the Fargo Air Museum to visit with children about their Christmas lists! Don’t miss him on either Saturday, he arrives at Noon and takes off at 2:00pm. The Red River Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society presents this series of organ concerts for the holiday season. The concerts are held at noon on each of the dates listed above and admission is free. Guests are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the local food pantry.

The Blenders return to Fargo again this year with their Holiday Concert Tour. Leading up to the week of Christmas, the local acapella group will entertain the crowds with seven performances. Tickets are $41.50 each.

The Classic Nutcracker is a full-length ballet that brings a familiar holiday tale of magic and wonder to life through dance and live music, set to Tchaikovsky’s score. Easy access location in South Fargo, this is the metro area version of the North Pole enclosed on a 15-acre farm site. Santa’s elves will make every moment a memorable one. Admission is free, however guests are encouraged to bring donations of canned goods, cash and new toys.

Drive through the park and view holiday light displays sponsored by local businesses. Open to the public from 5:30pm – 10:00pm, this nighttime joy ride will get you in the holiday spirit. Admission is $6 per vehicle, $5 with a canned good donation for the local food pantries, or $10 for busses or limousines.

Downtown Fargo – Rides being at The Red Silo located at 12 Broadway
The Red Silo is partnering with Dakota Carriage Company to offer holiday horse-drawn carriage rides through downtown Fargo. The rides will last about 25 minutes and cost $12 for adults and children age 4 and up. Kids under age 4 ride for free. Riders will also be offered hot chocolate and a holiday treat!
