The fall-colored leaves are mostly off the trees and the air is a little crisper in Fargo these days. You might start to think about nice warm sweaters, apple cider, pumpkins….and Halloween. Spookify your week with these All Hallows Eve events.

Wednesday, October 24

Take a flashlight tour of the old Comstock House

Built in 1883, the Comstock House sits empty in Fargo’s sister city, Moorhead, filled with antique furnishings and plenty of nooks and crannies.

During this guided tour, the lights are off, and you’ll wander through dark rooms with flashlights as your only illumination. You’ll also gain access to parts of the house otherwise unseen… like the basement and the attic.

A real-life Walking Dead experience 

This year’s theme – Nightmares from Elm Street – combines bone-chilling attractions with a walk through a zombie-filled wood.

A terrifying haunted field

Just outside of Fargo sit acres of farmland, converted to a horrifying, immersive experience. Screams echo through forested paths, a deranged bus driver takes you for a spin, and you may or may not run into a creature with a chainsaw.

Find your way out of a corn maze alive

A corn maze sounds like fun, right?

Make your way through the maze, after dark, with creatures lurking in the darkest corners. The only way to stop the scares is to find your way out.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show will take the screen at 11 pm on Friday, with a costume contest kicking it off at 10:45 pm.

Relive the horrors of the past with a ghost tour

This deserted pioneer village serves as the perfect, creepy backdrop for some of North Dakota’s gruesomest tales. Watch scenes unfold before your eyes as you’re led among the ghosts of the past.

A haunted house for the kiddos 

Looking for a haunted house that won’t scare the bejeebus out of little ones? Head to the Children’s Museum at Yunker Farm for a less-scary haunted house, creepy crafts, and cute critters.

Instead of trick-or-treating, go pub crawling

This FREE pub crawl replaces candy with Bud Light – an adult trick-or-treat. You can buy a mug for $5.25 and have it refilled for just $3.25 as you weave through some of Downtown Fargo’s classic bars.

Investigate the paranormal Paranormal Investigation at Bonanzaville

Visitors and volunteers alike have reported phenomena at Bonanzaville that cannot be easily explained. These tours will allow you to move beyond museum barriers in teams of 6 and discover for yourself.

Buildings included in the investigations are the Brass Rail Saloon, the Houston Mansion, the Bjerklie Pharmacy, and the Burlington Northern Passenger Car. EMF detectors and voice boxes will be provided for each group. Attendees will also be permitted to bring in their own approved equipment.

On Halloween Night

Craft beer + creepy vinyl tunes

Things are going to get down right chilling in Fargo’s only exclusively local taproom on All Saint’s Eve. Strange and creepy jams, juicy IPAs, malty porters and perhaps some eye-makeup overkill will make for a solid prelude to any ludicrously wild late night (aka early morning) shenanigans.

Vinyl DJ Castle Danger will be hitting the dual turntables with his strangest, most creepy jams with intermittent guests all night long.

A true Monster Mash dance

This 21+ event is bound to be a graveyard smash. This Halloween bash will kick off with a special Grindflicks screening of cult classic horror comedy, The Monster Squad (1987), followed by a costume contest with prizes for the best looks of the night, along with other ghastly games including bobbing for Wolfman nards, Drink-O, and a beer can ring toss.

Then, dance the night away as the Monster Mash dance party closes out a spooktacular evening.
