There’s a pretty big secret out there. There’s some world class catfishing right here in Fargo-Moorhead. It is just one more example of the various types of experiences visitors can have when visiting the area. One minute you could be landing that giant catfish of your dreams and then in just a few minutes be enjoying all the great shopping, attractions, dining and lodging that metropolitan Fargo-Moorhead has to offer.
To help promote activities on the Red River we teamed up with Jason Mitchell Outdoors Television to produce a piece featuring the fishing opportunities on the Red River of the North. The opportunities are truly special. Of course if catfish are not you thing don’t worry too much. There are several dozen other fish species found in the river according to the ND Game and Fish Department.
In case you are not familiar with the river, it serves as the state line dividing Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN. While most people probably have heard about the Red River and its flood prone issues, many have not recognized the potential for it being a great adventure filled with big cats and peaceful shores. Take a look at the short video below featuring “Catfishing on the Red River.”
