2017 4th of July Events in Fargo-Moorhead

Spending 4th of July in Fargo-Moorhead? Here are a couple events and fireworks displays happening in the area:

BONANZAVILLE 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION

4th of July celebration at Bonanzaville pioneer villageHead to Bonanzaville on 4th of July for some good old fashioned fun! The day begins at 7:00am with the FM Veterans 5K and 10K Walk/Run. At 10:00am, the festivities get underway in the pioneer village. All day events include live historic demonstrations, horse drawn wagon rides, line dancing, old time games and more! At 2:00pm, there will be a parade through the village. Food vendors including the Bonanza Belles, Texas Q BBQ and Terry & Jerry’s will be available if you want to grab a bite to eat.
Later that evening, Bonanzaville hosts a concert. At 7:30pm, 32 Below will take the stage. A full service bar will be provided by Bordertown Bar & Grill and food vendors will also be available all night.

The fireworks at 10:30pm put the exclamation point on the celebration at Bonanzaville. The fireworks display is free and open to the public.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Bonanzaville front desk. The concert is a 21+ event. Bonanzaville 4th of July event admission does NOT get you into the concert – tickets must be purchased separately.

4th of July fireworksMoorhead’s 4th of July fireworks tradition continues, and it’s back at Minnesota State University Moorhead for 2017. The event gets underway at 8:30pm and Post Traumatic Funk Syndrome starts performing at 9:00pm. The fireworks display starts at 10:30pm and will continue until about 11:00pm.

OTHER THINGS TO DO

Here are a few other ideas for things to do on July 4th.

The Children’s Museum celebrates America’s birthday! All veterans and their dependents receive free admission.

The Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County will be open regular hours (9:00am-8:00pm) on 4th of July.  See the Hopperstad Stave Church and Hjemkomst Viking Ship and check out their other exhibits too. They currently have the Wet & Dry exhibit on display as well as the National Watermedia Exhibition.

Junkyard Brewing Company is open on 4th of July and their patio is an excellent place to watch the fireworks at MSUM!

Red River Zoo is open regular hours (10:00am-7:00pm) on July 4th. A fun outing for the family during the day before finding some fireworks to watch later in the evening!

July 4th hours at West Acres Mall are 10:00am-6:00pm and a few stores have some pretty big sales going on!
