All year long, people who come to Fargo-Moorhead find a warm reception and a great time. No matter what, the people here are always warm, always friendly and always ready to welcome those who visit.
The following stories are actual examples* of the warmth of Fargo-Moorhead. We think they show that Fargo-Moorhead has a unique, welcoming spirit that you can't find anywhere else.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Fargo-Moorhead region last week. My first impression of the area was the warmth of it's citizens. Coming from Vancouver BC, where the majority of the population are rude, arrogant and have no respect for fellow humans ; It was really refreshing to see that politeness and courtesy are still alive in today's modern society. No matter where you turned you where always met with a smile and a hardy "hello" or " good morning". There where many situations throughout my trip where peoples genuine good nature came to life. Fargo-Moorhead and it's beautiful people have lead me to start exploring the idea of relocating to this very clean, modern and vibrant area. Looking forward to calling F-M home in the very near future!

My fiance were up Friday - Sunday of last week and had a great time. We ate out, attended the film festival, walked, viewed the Viking ship replica and stave church replica and ended up our weekend by viewing the art at the Great Plains Museum.
Thank you!

I am from Korea, and I was in Seattle, WA before I came to F-M area to study at MSUM. First of all, I hated the area because it was too cold to go outside. And, I was almost killed by the freezing weather. However, the longer I strayed in F-M area, more I saw many awesome people and great communities. I always told my friends in Seattle that "Yes, I had a lot of fun while I was there, but I am happier to be in F-M area."

Just to let you know we had stayed in Fargo-Moorhead for the weekend and our stay in Fargo-Moorhead was exceptional. The city is clean, safe, and a joy to drive around and visit. It has an excellent set-up for shopping and restaurants. Our accommodations were reasonably priced - but the people of Fargo made the trip worthwhile. While shopping at one of the local stores the cashier was so friendly and polite and a joy to talk to while I waited in line. I stopped at a bank hoping they could exchange some Canadian money for me and although she said they no longer provide that service she didnt leave me stranded and exchanged it anyway. The people in the shops were courteous and helpful and paid attention to my order. The restaurants were outstanding and provided so much food and good food at great prices!
But be proud of your young adults. I was so impressed by the young adults respect and courteousness to us I accidentally bumped into a young man around 19 yrs old as I was shopping, and expecting to be told off he actually turned around and said oh Im sorry excuse me.
What a wonderful city and what a wonderful group of people that live in it. I only come from Winnipeg, which itself is a small city but so much of the politeness, respect, and pride in our homes, city and neighbors has long been lost.
Thank you for a wonderful weekend. I hope one day we can return to stay longer!

I have never written a "fan" letter to a city but I just have to tell you how impressed I was with the friendliness of everyone we encountered on our recent stay in Fargo. My husband and I were both so impressed!!! If we asked directions or where to find something people were ready to help. Thank you thank you!!!!! We really appreciated all the kindness and helpfulness.
